Supporters of detained activist and internet personality VeryDarkMan (VDM) have taken to the streets of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, as the “Free VDM” protest officially kicks off. Demonstrators are demanding his immediate release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), citing concerns over human rights, due process, and the suppression of free speech.
The protest, which began earlier today, has drawn a growing crowd, with chants, placards, and online support flooding social media platforms. Organizers say this is just the beginning of a nationwide outcry if VDM is not released promptly.
